Our framework for field journalism, accuracy, and ethical documentation.
Gully Kahani operates with full editorial autonomy. No content is shaped by advertisers, sponsorship, or external influence. All narratives are produced within an independent editorial framework grounded in field reporting and documentation.
All published material is based on field observation, interviews, and verified sources. Information is cross-checked before publication. Where uncertainty exists, it is explicitly acknowledged rather than assumed.
Field reporting is conducted with respect for individuals and contexts. Sensationalism, stereotyping, and extractive representation are excluded from editorial practice. Stories involving vulnerable individuals or sensitive environments undergo additional review, including consent and contextual safeguards.
Identifying details such as names, locations, or features may be altered where required for safety or consent. Any such modification is clearly disclosed. Composite construction is not used in a way that presents reconstructed material as direct fact.
Errors are corrected transparently and without delay. All corrections are documented with clear indication of what has been changed and why. Editorial accuracy is treated as an ongoing responsibility rather than a fixed output.
Gully Kahani does not publish open community submissions on its main platform. Selected contributions are accepted only through structured editorial channels. Public engagement remains part of the broader documentation process, particularly through Gully Lens.
Images are used only when they serve a direct documentary function. Visual material is not decorative. All visuals are either produced in-house or credited to their original source where applicable.
